Inspired by the traditional Mexican dish chilaquiles, CHILAQUILÓN is the wider version of our classic fisherman sandal.
A model designed for those seeking extra space and comfort, without losing the MEXAS spirit.

Crafted on our NOPAL last, which is wider than the ones used for our AZTECA and MAYA BAREFOOT models, this sandal offers more freedom for your toes while respecting the natural shape of the foot.

IMPORTANT: This is not a pure barefoot shoe, as it has a slight drop (heel higher than the front), but it’s still a much more respectful and flexible alternative to conventional footwear.

We recommend measuring your foot and leaving 0.5 cm of extra space for comfort.
Keep in mind: as they're made of leather, they’ll gradually mold to your foot. -

100% Handmade
Our huaraches are 100% handmade in Mexico, following a traditional craftsmanship process with over 500 years of history.
Chemical-free natural leather
We use vegetable-tanned leather that is free from harmful chemicals. MEXAS are suitable for people with chrome allergies.
They adapt to your feet
Because they are made of natural leather, they gradually soften and adapt to the shape of your feet. They are lightweight, flexible and breathable, thanks to their signature woven design.
Social impact
We donate part of the profits from every sale to the NGO “Mujeres Aliadas,” based in Michoacán — the region where our shoes are made.
