Since MEXAS was founded in 2020, we have been collaborating with the NGO Mujeres Aliadas, an organization that promotes the sexual and reproductive rights of women in vulnerable situations.

In Michoacán (the Mexican state where we produce), many women live in remote areas where hospitals are far away, and medical care opportunities are limited. Mujeres Aliadas provides them with access to talks on sexuality, free gynecological check-ups, and assistance during childbirth.

Additionally, these women have the opportunity to receive support and guidance to help them make informed decisions for their well-being and that of their families.

This is essential, as the lack of resources and education in the area is alarming: there are not enough beds in hospitals to assist with childbirth, there are not enough midwives, and sexual education is lacking.

This results in untreated diseases due to not attending gynecological exams, health problems for babies, and high cesarean rates.
