La Malinche, a Nahua woman from the Gulf Coast of Mexico, became known for contributing to the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire, acting as an interpreter, advisor, and go-between for Hernán Cortés. That is why in Mexico it is not very loved... but at MEXAS we honor it with this model that -we believe- will be a top seller.

  • We wanted to design a sandal with a Menorcan style rear grip and that is how the MOCTEZUMA models in black and MALINCHE in camel were born.
  • This braiding is one of the most difficult and time-consuming to achieve, very few weavers know how to do it. That's why we have little stock!
  • 100% handmade like all our MEXAS.
  • Chemical free natural leather.
  • Very light thanks to the"Microtech"sole with great durability and comfort.
  • Exterior, sole and insole all in camel colour.
  • Choose your usual size.

We recommend that you choose your usual size. If they fit tight the first few days it is always better since, being made of leather, they will eventually adapt to your fit.

You can also consult our Sizing Guide where you will find the measurements of each model to compare it with your foot.

Composition

Chemical-free vegetable-tanned cowhide. Over time the leather of the MEXAS changes color, a sign that it is 100% natural. That is why they get darker just like we do when the sun hits on us :)

Care

You can clean them with a damp cloth, being careful not to get too wet as they darken.
