MALINCHE
La Malinche, a Nahua woman from the Gulf Coast of Mexico, became known for her role in the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire, serving as an interpreter, advisor, and intermediary to Hernán Cortés.
- We wanted to design a sandal with a back strap in the style of a menorquina, and that’s how the MOCTEZUMA in black and MALINCHE in camel came to be.
- This weaving is one of the most difficult and time-consuming to achieve, and very few weavers know how to do it. That’s why we have limited stock!

Origin
Huaraches are a traditional Mexican shoe, and at MEXAS, we honor this heritage by using only raw materials sourced from Mexico. We work hand in hand with different workshops to design new models, exploring color combinations and developments that keep this beautiful tradition alive for longer.
Composition
Vegetable-tanned cowhide leather* except for pastel-colored models.
Care
You can clean them with a damp cloth, being careful not to get them too wet as they may darken.
Our warehouse is in Madrid and is open from Monday to Friday. All orders placed before 3:00 p.m. are shipped on the same day.

Our huaraches are 100% handmade in Mexico following a traditional process with more than 500 years of history.
Chemical-free natural leather
The leather we use is vegetable-tanned and free of chemicals. MEXAS are suitable for those with chrome allergies.
They adapt to your fit
Since they are made of leather, they gradually stretch and adapt to your foot shape. They are very lightweight, flexible, and breathable, thanks to their signature woven design.
Social impact
We donate part of the profit from each sale to an NGO called "Mujeres Aliadas", located in Michoacán, the region where we produce our shoes.
