A papalote is what in Europe we commonly know as a kite. The word papalote comes from the Nahuatl “papalotl” which means “butterfly”.

  • Choose your usual size.
  • It's an explosion of colors. What we need this 2022! and that is why it has been top sales this summer.
  • The braid looks good on any type of foot.
  • The colors may vary slightly in each production as it depends on the amount of vegetable dye used.

We recommend that you choose your usual size. If they fit tight the first few days it is always better since, being made of leather, they will eventually adapt to your fit.

Composition

Chemical-free vegetable-tanned cowhide. Over time the leather of the MEXAS changes color, a sign that it is 100% natural. That is why they get darker just like we do when the sun hits on us :)

Care

You can clean them with a damp cloth, being careful not to get too wet as they darken.

Designed in Spain, 100% handmade in Mexico. All the raw materials used come from Mexico.

100% handmade

Our huaraches are 100% handmade in Mexico following a traditional process with more than 500 years of history.

Chemical-free natural leather

The leather we use is vegetable-tanned and chemical-free. Over time the MEXAS leather gets darker, a sign that it is 100% natural.

They adapt to your fit

As they are 100% leather they will adapt to your feet shape.

Social impact

Part of the profit from each sale is donated to a NGO called "Mujeres Aliadas" who help indigenous women in the area we produce.
